What's New At DMC

National Instruments Technical Symposium.  October 2008.  DMC is proud to be a sponsor of this years' NI Technical Symposium.  We are joining leading companies to host the National Instruments Technical Symposium that builds on the success of NIWeek, the worldwide virtual instrumentation conference and exhibition held annually in Austin, Texas, where the company is headquartered.  Engineers and scientists will attend the conferences for new product demonstrations, hands-on tutorials, technology presentations and exhibits on the latest solutions in design, control and test, further their expertise in NI tools and evaluate upcoming technology trends in the areas of design, test and control. During the NI Technical Symposium, attendees can exchange ideas on innovative approaches to technical challenges.

New Team Member. September 2008.  DMC welcomes Eric Nielsen to our Engineering staff.  Eric comes to us with some consulting experience and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Valparaiso.  Eric is also an accomplished expedition leader, with professional outdoor expeditions including New Hampshire, Washington, Wyoming, and British Columbia.  Welcome Eric!

New Team Member. August 2008.  DMC welcomes Jon Carson to our Engineering staff.  Jon comes to us from Rose-Hulman University in Terra Haute Indiana, where he worked in Photonics research at the University while completing his degree.  He is an Electrical Engineer, and now the second person at DMC to be fluent in German.  Welcome Jon!

Two New Certifications. May 2008.  Congratulations to Danny Budzinski and David Simons for achieving their Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification (CLAD). This is the first step in the National Instruments’ certification program, and complements our team of other certified developers.

Quarterly Meeting. May 2008.  Day of meetings and activities at Pump It Up, followed by dinner & games at Dave and Busters.

Dinner & Comedy Night. March 2008.  DMC brought a group to see ‘That’s Weird, Grandma’ at the Neo-futurists theater in Chicago.  The evening started with dinner at the Hopleaf, followed by a walk around the block to the theater for some great Chicago performing entertainment.

Shamrock Shuffle 8K. March 2008.  Months of office trash-talk finally come to the day of contest, with DMC's team of 14 runners hitting the Chicago pavement on March 28th.  Congratulations to Jody for team best of 33:19.

Chicago Indoor Racing. March 2008.  Once again we celebrate the season by exercising our competitive nature and questionable driving skills.  To the extent that hours of Chicagoland traffic has prepared us, we braved the racetrack and pushed the limits of traction. Best lap time of the event went to Dan.  Employees, significant others, and insignificant others all had a good time.

China Team Returns. February 2008.  Welcome back and congratulations to our team, who succeeded with a large Siemens install overseas.  Congratulations to Nick, Kristie, and Boris!!

Four new Certified LabVIEW Developers. February 2008.  Jody Koplo, Dan Freve, Brent Hoerman, and Darren Jones.  With these new certifications, DMC now has 1/3 of all the certified LabVIEW developers in Illinois!! Thanks to Jon from NI for proctoring.
